kumiho cookie is one of the cookie run characters ever. she’s transspecies. she’s canonically sexy. she eats people. she’s great with kids. she can cast D&D Charm Person. that is at least somewhat related to all the previous points. she is a fox and also a woman and also lives in the woods.
she is also at least a thousand years old if you count her tails. this also makes her a (demon?) god apparently.
I’m actually not sure about that? According to her game description (☝️🤓), she got the ability to switch between her fox and cookie form by living off of flour and butter for 999 days, not 1000 years. Maybe there’s reference to her being 1000 years old elsewhere? But otherwise it seems like they deliberately tweaked with the Kumiho legend for her, for whatever reason.
If anything, her game story seems to more closely resemble the process a Kumiho would take to become a normal human (according to Wikipedia, at least)
She clearly did not become a normal cookie, though. So regardless she’s still got some weirdness going on w/ her cookie transformation spell.
In traditional lore of kumihos, they gain a tail for every hundred years old they are, with the first hundred years not counting as thats what makes them go from fox to kumiho in the first place. their max amount of tails is nine at 100 years old, which is supposed to ascend them to godhood.
I think I see what you’re getting at. For some reason I assumed that Devsisters decided she speedran the transformation (Kumification, if you will) spell lol. I still think she got some weird knockoff version of the spell tho, hence why she seems to be struggling so bad to find a way to become a “real cookie.” That’s getting more into headcanon though
